I was thinking about you and your videos last night. I've gotten kinda hooked on watching overlanding adventures.

Thanks pal. 8)

They can be addictive. Two of my favorites are Ronny Dahl and 4xOverland links listed. Way more advanced than my videos though. Great stuff...

Glad you like my videos though. George.

I've been watching this guy mostly. He is new to the whole thing and watching his learning is interesting.

I've been watching some of Ronny Dahl's material. I'm loving the Ute's.

Yup they are pretty cool. We just don't get the cool stuff here in the states. He has some epic adventures!

Andrew Pierre on 4xoverlanding drives a Troopy! It is too cool. He just got done traversing Australia from the farthest eastern point to the farthest western point. No videos of that out yet. He did the Canning Stock Route earlier this year. Excellent videos. This is episode one of eight https://youtu.be/EinnfBVt5cY . His Youtube Channel is a bit busy so you have to look for the other episodes. Glad your taking a liking to the videos. See you on the trails, George.

I've been inspired. I'm headed for Walk the Winds 2018 in Pinedale, WY. I found this blog/trail recently, so...

Rather than just powering through Colorado on I-25, I'm looking to do segments 7, 8, and 9 before going on up to Laramie.

Looks like a good run. Just make sure you allow for the extra time it will take to travel slower and longer distances. You will probably see more interesting terrain for sure. Hope you have a good trip. It is a bit addicting, just a warning. :applause:

Good luck and See you on the trails, George.

Why is the Oregon trip labeled Bogus?

I try not to post directly where my videos are, unless they are already common places people know about. Just trying to share cool trips with people, but not broadcast the locations I go and routes that I use. Too many people do not respect these areas like I do. I do however leave breadcrumbs so that if someone really wanted to figure out where I was, and the routes I took, they could probably figure it out. If that is the case they are probably people who will respect the area like I do.

So, in this case, Bogus is the name of the creek you saw us cross towards the end of the video series. If you remember in the beginning, I posted a picture of the stage stop which had a sign in front of it which gave information on the location. At one point we where at a lava field. If someone dug deep enough they could probably be able to figure out my route, or at least a portion of it. In fact, I followed someone else breadcrumbs for part of this trip, and I might add the most difficult route finding of the trip. I also think that this makes it more fun than just following a GPS route that someone else did.

Since our main objective was in the area of Bogus Creek I though it would make a great breadcrumb to make a title name with "A Bogus Trip?" . A little bit of click bait because people would want to know if it was a bogus trip or not for themselves, but also put a clue in the title. Most people probably don't care, but those that do would figure it out with some research.

Call me strange, George.

I had figured that about the blurring on most of your adventures.

I figured it might be an inside joke.

I guess in a way it could be a inside joke, since I named it before we left on it. We would not really know if it was a bogus trip till after the trip, hence the question mark. Maybe in some ways it was a bogus trip. We did have one vehicle nearly loose a brake caliper, a alternator issue and a tire blow out!
