Isn't that the same weekend as the Shasta Lake Gathering?

It may be, been there several times.
Shasta is a 2 day trip from Washington State, Champoeg is only part of 1 day.
We save 2 days on the road round trip and have a great time.
This will be our 4TH year.

lets see, being I live about 75 miles NORTH of Seattle - ??a 2 day drive to Shasta??? I've driven it twice in less and a day going I-5 south - 650 miles in about 12/13 hours including relief-room stops and one gas fillup enroute. 'And-and-and' that also includes a drive though the Seattle/Tacoma mess and the 55 mph MAX speed limit in California do to their trailer speed limit!! (50mph average overall and yes, I cheat by leaving at about 3AM in the morning so as to be south of the Seattle/Tacoma "MESS" by 5/6AM - ?how can anyone ever put up with living in that mess of an area?????) In 2014 I was in Antlers just before 4PM in the afternoon......... The last few years it has been a - how many day count to Antlers heading there being we have had a 'trailer group' heading south with camp outs along the way - in other words - who cares when we get there!!!!! Take care-- signed "waiting for April"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :wine:

after making my comments about the drive to Shasta thus wondering about where "Champoeg State Heritage" is located on the map --just' outside of Salem, the only thing I found was the "Champoeg State Park" located 30 miles or so north of Salem, 10 miles south of the Portland I-5/I-205 interchange to the west of I-5 at exit M278/9. --Is this where the get-together is being held? Did not find "Champoeg State Heritage" anywhere on my map?? and was unable to open the reservation website posted here. If this is it? If so, I agree this is "just" a bit closer of a drive from our neck of the northern woods, than a drive too Shasta.......... Will have to think about it.......

Thanks for the directions Wolfgang.
From the north you'll see this exit.

We once followed a Garmin direction from the south and were on a long country road for miles.
Exit 278 off I-5 is the best and shortest way to go.
There are signs to the park.
Once in the park go through the first stop, turn right on the second stop & over the small bridge to campground A.
The links in my original post still work for me.
It's a state park and they have a curfew of 10 pm, so we try to be considerate of other campers not in our group, and... the 2 campsite hosts.
