Anybody up for a good time in the great outdoors. All indications are pointing to good weather with lots of sunshine January 25-28, 2018. First choice for location is Three Island Crossing State Park at Glenns Ferry.

Moving to Second choice.

1000 Springs Resort. 4 miles South of Hagerman, ID.

Didn't you take note of my weather forecast? We will be experiencing a heat wave that weekend. At least that's my calculation. I expect 43-47 F daytime and maybe 30 at night. And if it turns real NASTY Glens Ferry has a very cool old motel just a couple miles away.

Just remember Tony, you heard it here first. And come to the Freezeout anyway.

We'll go down next week and check out the power/bathroom situation- might do the same in Hells Canyon at the Idaho Power sites.

Maybe the sun and the moon will come together and Jupiter will align... Five hours on icy roads with our cherished teardrop––that'd make me damn skittish.

But I wish your endeavor well!

You planning on a semi load of fire wood?

Count me in. I love winter. I can't get enough of frozen toes, numb fingers, falling on ice, using jumper cables and starting fluid.

Will be there with woolies on. And plenty of Colemans.

Cool Randy! Been wanting to camp with you again. And I just picked up a new stove to show you. It's not a Coleman.

My Trooper bit the big one so I have another TV. Also have a few new stoves and lanterns. I might go to Albuquerque after Christmas. Was kind of thinking about staying south for a few months but would not hurt me to sneak back north for a few days then head south again. Or get back to work.

OK- there is a restroom open but it is a walk from the open camping loop. There is power in one loop- no showers. It was a miserable cloudy 26 when we were there. I will try to get to Hells Canyon Idaho Power sites before too long.

Loren, Do you have any thoughts on 1000 Springs Resort just a few miles South of Hagerman? Cindy and I camped there a couple years back. It had heated restrooms with showers plus the indoor hot springs pool. Some of the sites had power available. The website says $25 per night for the tent sites. Not sure if they had power available.
