City of rocks (Revisited)

Postby Modstock » Mon Oct 19, 2020 1:06 pm

Went back to City of rocks, Idaho Friday.
Been planning this all year. New tires, new plumbing in the house, and a new trailer.

Friday showed up about 2:30 that afternoon.
It was pretty busy. Not a spot available at the lower site's. Found a spot available (site 61) at a higher elevation and was very windy. It was okay for us but, my cousin was in a tent. She slept warm, it was the noise that hampered sleep.

Saturday. Moved down lower to (site 11).
Explored Castle Rocks and the Durfee hot springs was nice to warm up.
Wind died off as the sun went down.

That evening we were greeted with some
Flying saucer clouds. Looked like an invasion.
Had a great time.

Once the wind went away, it was great.
Here's a few from my camera to enjoy. I've never seen clouds like that. Cool experience.
