Thanks Jen, Debbie and other Randy. At the moment I feel pretty good but still have some leukaemia cells in my bone marrow so Monday I start another round of chemo so I may not be feeling so good by next Friday. But I doubt I will ever feel as bad as I did when I had the ambulance take me to the hospital.

Exchanged texts with Randy on Sunday.

He is still fighting the leukemia and going in for another round of chemo next week. He mentioned that his body can handle the chemo pretty well, but the first dose of covid threw him for a loop.

If the weather turns bad for the campout he is offering his yard as a place to have the gathering.
He would even stay in his camper on the property.

Only 30 days to go.............. :applause:

I am not letting Mordor 6 be called on weather. I have space for the group. Real wood camp fire. A good storage shed we cam gather in if the weather turns really nasty. Have several places 110v is close. trees and grass.

Makes me want to have a camp out in Nov.

My address in 255 E 800 N Rupert.

One year I’d love to make this trip. I hope to chat with a couple of you guys about it at Walk The Winds.

What time do people get there? Clif and I plan to come up for a very short trip. Only Friday night.

Largely depends where I spend Thursday night (95 is open all the way again right?) but if anyone can attest to the "road" on that side it might make for better guesses too since my pavement to campground on the Ice Caves side was about 3 times longer than I expected.

At the moment I plan to be there Friday afternoon if I feel like bringing my Casita and spending at least one night. If not then I will come for the day Saturday.

Without pulling the Casita I can get there in a bit under an hour.

Paul,

If you come down Idaho 95, google maps will lead you to Minidoka via Idaho 24. Cross the railroad tracks right after Idaho 24 turns south and stay to the left.
You will see the big water tower on the north side by the rail road tracks.

165163

From the water tower follow the road east for 2.08 miles to the turn-off for Arco road (its gravel) and turn left heading north. Marked in green on the map below

165164

Cream Can junction is 14.7 miles on Arco Rd. and the junction is marked. At the junction turn west you will be able to spot the camp on the south side of the road about 0.4 miles down the road.

Edit

May 17. 2021

Cream Can Junction is in Google maps.

Made some signs to put up in critical spots

165347

Hopefully that will help.
See you all in camp 8) :D

The road you turn on is signed "Desert Road" Then it is about 15 miles north. Gravel all the way to Cream Can Junction but not a nice often graded gravel.
