North West Spring Fling... Who is going?

Postby Glennanderson1 » Thu Mar 02, 2006 11:34 pm

[u] We have not made our first outing with our TD yet and considering Spring Fling. We are new to this thing so who is going and what should we expect? We have gone to Randel Wa. on Labor Day for the big sale for years, never on Memorial Day.

Thanks,

Glenn

Glenn,

We will be going to Spring Fling, but like you we have never had an "outing" so not knowing what to expect is a great post! And, now we know we are not to be the only "newbies" there!! Look forward to meeting you all. :D :D

Guess I got lucky. All my 'iniation' involved was remounting a teardrop body alongside a busy highway. Nearly killed the battery on my old truck on that one.

If you are a dutch oven cooker, be sure to bring your gear. We have a potluck one night that brings out the best in everyone. If you don't do DO, you can always bring rabbit food. :)

We always have a good time at the Spring Fling, whether it's wet or dry. And the Packwood flea market is outrageous!

There is info on the Spring Fling and other northwest gatherings at http://www.teardrops.net/destinations01.html

We're planning to attend Spring Fling. It's a fun gathering and there's a big swap meet in Randle the same weekend.

Would it be okay to drop in and visit? I won't be anywhere near finished with my tear, but I would love to stop by.

Amy, you don't have to have a teardrop to be welcomed to any teardrop gathering. Down here in SoCal we always advertise that Saturday is an open house for every one to come look around and enjoy. And if you happen to come early, so what. ;) I've also been known to hook up with some friends and wop up some extra food and stay for the pot luck. I always have a fork & spoon in the pocket. :shhh:

Some year, I'm going to figure out how to get up there. A lot of Tri State tears should be up there. They are the DO kings & Queens of DO cooking. At least in my eyes, or should I say stomach.

Have a good day.

Yeah Amy..
Come on down. We'll be there with the girls.
They probably won't be wearing their t&ttt shirts tho'. (they don't seem to like wearing clothes as much as Norma thought they would....)
