I like the "meet in the middle" idea a lot! It keeps the range more manageable.Keep planning! If you plan it, they will come!

We are new to this forum, but would love to hear about gatherings closer to us! Keep us posted on what you decide.

We would love to get out into Central Oregon next year! wouldn't mind hearing more about favorite locations (even boondocking!).

I'm interested, please count me in, depending on the dates.

As to the OP, I have a goal of staying in all the campgrounds in the Mt. Hood National Forest, and maybe doing some dispersed camping as well. My favorite so far (of the four I visited) is Lazy Bend near Estacada because each site has a view and access to the Clackamas River.

Time for your requests and suggestions.
Please remember the old saying.
You can Please some of the people all of the time. And all of the people some of the time. But you can't Please All of the people All of the time.
Hopefully we can put together a plan that will be attractive to the largest number of those of you that are interested.

Hi Brian and Sandi,

We live in Bend, OR and we never did a tour so that could be a fun thing to try. Next September would be good timing. What does everyone else think about this?

I'm okay with camping off-grid,

There is a road called Jack Lake Road, just East of Suttle lake, there are some pretty good free camping spots that can handle a small to medium group by some streams. But there is a place called "john neal park" in Lyons oregon, (actually off hwy 22 east of Salem) John Neal has a group area that could handle about 20 trailers, there are showers and flushing t's right on the river,

Everybody, tell us what you are looking for. AND the ideas will flow!

John
