I talked to wanabefree and told him it doesn't fill. The hook up site fill but always seams to have a couple not taken. As I told Bud if the main park runs out of room there is the other side of the hill that is part of Buckskin that never hardly sees any campers during December. The news did say after 3 years of snowbirds being down it has rebounder and most of the parks here in Phoenix area are full already.

Well, I had really hoped to make it this year :( , it was on my calendar.... really enjoyed last year and was looking forward with catching up with everyone.... but we have been involved with different family situations.

We have already been out out town for the last 3 weekends and in Dec. we may be out of town for 3 of the 4 weekends...4 out of 4 is just too many. :?

Bill & Charlotte (Canada) Konechny of Why AZ fame called me to say they
were going to be there, on Wednesday.
Joanne called me to see how I was feeling on Tuesday and said she would
be there Friday. And again Joanne called me on Friday eve and said that she
got the last full spot after a state trailer was pulled off from that location.
They would have most likely had to double uP ... as more came, as the
grounds were full uP with snowbirds and little trailers.

I would have been there on Tuesday had I not come down with this lingering
head cold ~ chest gripping flu like illness. ugh

Cold chills, headaches and coughing are not very compatible with camping in
my opinion, let alone the possibility of passing on the affliction to others. ugh ~ !

I came home a day early. It was very cold (38 degrees) and my wife wasn't feeling good.. We did have a great time and met some new folks and saw some old friends. Will be back next year.

Missed you Steve T. Maybe see you in Mesa in march.

38 trailers when I past through on Friday. Bud was pulled over by police and was told he needed a license for his electric ice chest scooter.

The final count if I'm not mistaken was 44. Oh, and I got a warning for my scooter but not by the Ranger (I was sleeping). That was a good thing because I would have told him to go pound sand and then I would have most likely had to come home early. My warning caused a big ruckus between Bob, Bruce and the Ranger (Bob & Bruce were sticking up for me). The next day two Rangers came back by and apologized to us for their misunderstanding.
