courtney that would be great to meet you at burning man. i'm not sure if i'll have tear along--need to tow another small trailer with 3 peoples' stuff, so if we can't come up with another tow car i'll probably have to leave the tear at home

not sure of my address yet, maybe in the 8:30 range, place called transit lounge :?

will be looking for you, i'll have a physicist at my camp  but no rocket scientist!

ps last year it took me weeks to clean up-i left shortly after for turkey/greece and still had playa dust on everything a month later!

i think i saw you post somewhere something about a dutch oven...

will you have it out at burning man?
will you bring it to the redwoods?

i'm thinking about trying to learn how to cook with one, and wanted to see some in action and talk to folks about it.

will there be dutch ovens in action at the redwood gathering?

i'm planning to bring the dutch oven to BM, not sure when/how much i'll use it, and definitely will be using it at redwoods camp-out. my intro to it was from lee bryant, who i met at a music festival. he made apple crisp, and we had a cook-off at the redwoods. both were winners!

i remember he said something about there being a lot of down time while camping, and it was the perfect setting for dutch oven cooking. i agree.

Dean and crew,

Little Sarge and I would love to attend, but Tiny Sarge is getting baptised on that weekend.

Have fun for us!

Tentatively, we are planning to be there, but it is crush season. If the grapes are ready then they'll have to be crushed. If they aren't ready I'll bring the fermented juice from previous crushes with me. :wine:

I will be there. Thanks Doug for giving me a call to let me know about it!

I am going to bring a couple of duch ovens and make a main dish as well as a sweet.

Dean--

Is it too late to put in a reservation for Sept 16-18? If not, do I need to contatct the park or will you be able to reserve a site for me to pay for when we arrive?

Thx, Rob

Rob,
Swimmers Delight does not take reservations.
I don't expect there to be a problem... Things really slow down out there after Labor Day weekend.
I'll be talking with the ranger of the park sometime later this week.
I won't be arriving until Friday afternoon on the 16th myself.
I'll have three different storefront jobs going in three different towns early that week, so my challenge is to have all three jobs completed before Friday...

Rob,
We did potlucks last time and everyone seemed to like that... Don't see why we shouldn't have them this time either.

Coming; Bill, Dean, Doug, Will, Lee, Sue, Courtney... (I know I'm forgetting someone)

Maybe; Rob, Kevin.

I don't Know; Mike A, Steve E., Jan.

Rob...not to worry....somehow teardroppers can whip up a potluck out of thin air....you won't go hungry...believe me that wasn't a problem last time, but there are stores relatively close by if a potluck breaks out that you aren't prepared for....don't sweat it....come up and have fun....for me I have a brand new Dutch Oven and I would like to do a load of cinnamon rolls for breakfast....maybe I need to experiment first on the neighbors....Doug
