UPDATE Twain and Tears

Postby nevadatear » Sun Jul 01, 2012 7:08 pm

Randy and I went to Unionville over the weekend and scoped out the park. Everything looks great. We figure we can fit 20 trailers in the camping area with no problem. We currently have 15 who say they are coming, and 5 on the "maybe" list. Let me know if there has been a change in plans either way. I have the attendee list posted on the first post of this thread. I took a bunch of pictures, which I will post soon. There is a large, grassy park area as part of where we will camp, as well as some grass in the camping area. If you have any games that need a lot of room, there is plenty of park grass for those activities. getting excited and looking forward to camping with all of you willing to make this trip. Unionville is a hidden Gem that is a delight. I will see some of you at IRG soon! :ilovecamp: :vroom: In August I will be sending out more information via this post and PMs.

Re: Twain & Tears-Watch this thread- UPDATE pg 2

Postby nevadatear » Sun Jul 22, 2012 8:03 pm

So a few weeks ago Randy and I spent the weekend up in Unionville. Here is a picture of the picnic area of the park.

Image
The camping area is behind the camera. For more picutres, go here to an album.

The photos begin at the top of the canyon, end of the road, and procede down out of the canyon to the main road, the opposite way you will come in.
This is a delightful canyon, with houses mostly on only one side of the street. five of the houses are part of Old Pioneer Gardens Bed and Breakfast, where we stayed. My favorite place! Another 2 houses are vacation "cabins" meaning, of course, estates in my view. Then there are maybe 8 more permanent resident houses in the canyon.

Hope this gives you a better idea of the area.

There have been a couple of cancellations, so there is room for a few more trailers. Take a look at your calendar and see if you want to join us in Nevada's high country. Pm or reply to this thread if interested. This is a FREE campground.

After all the fog here seeing the sun will be nice... Ok, usually when it's hot as hell inland it get's foggier here in Los Osos. But it's actually burning off most days, this means hell might be a welcome relief...

Randy, I'll have the shrimp, you bringing the Moose Drool?

I got the Drool. I didn't get rid of all that I took to the Element 11 burn. I got 2 six packs left. Should I get more?

Two sounds like plenty since it didn't sound like you are working much, and I gather from other posts that many in attendance will be well stocked. :wine:

I am guessing it will be in the low 80's during the day and high 40's at night. But who knows any more.
