Arizona TearJerkers at Cabelas Show

we had a hard time finding a nearby campsite. apparently there is a NASCAR thing going on and with all the snow birds...we did eventually find somewhere to camp. We are specifically going for the Cabella's thing. so if you are looking for a campsite it is best to try and book something sooner versus later.

Don't need no stinking campsite. We'll just camp in the parking lot and pretend we're at Wal-Mart. After all, it's only for one night.

The White Tank camp ground should be not be full. And there is always the east valley camp grounds like Lost Dutchman.

I would think Lake Pleasant and Cavecreek would be pretty open too.

I've watched for an email from Pat all day today but there was no response to my request in turning this into a two day event. Maybe tomarrow.

Didn't realise all the route 66'ers had jumped threads and were turning this into a $hopping trip. I'm with the play it by ear people, never did like planning ahead. That way if some folks don't want to go to Cabella'$, because I know if I go into that store I'll not make it out with out a bunch of stuff I'll get in trouble for buying...

If you go to page 1 of the route 66 trip, it always was the general plan to end up at Gendale for the Cabelas show.

It's just a matter how things work in reality.

There are some things I would like to check out at Cabelas as I've never been, but I already got one of the main things I wanted - a dutchoven table- because when I was checking out the website they had a sale on it with free shipping through the end of Aug. I figured it was too good a deal to pass up.

I just got a response from Pat Zeeman from Cabelas. This will be a two day event. So if you would like you can spend the night at Cabelas. Be warned, there are no restrooms after 9:00PM when the store closes.
