Though, I won't be headed to Burning Man, look for my neighbor, Captain Tom, who will be there again with his art car "Icthyosaur"... If you get there before he runs out, ask him for a taste of "Captain Tom's American Wheat Ale" That's my homebrewed beer. It's a lighter style ale, which is perfect for life on the dry and dusty playa. I'm going to brew 15 gallons for him to have on tap. I brewed 10 gallons last year and I guess it didn't last very long. Gosh, it's not too far in the future. I'd better get brewing soon. I want it to be well conditioned when the time comes.

Okay, it looks like we've missed the deadline for the theme camp registration. Right now, with work and yard work this summer, I don't think I would have time to set up a theme camp.

However, maybe we can all come up with a pre-designated time to meet and hang out. We are still planning on camping around 3:00-3:30 between H and I. Usually the Skinny Kitty Teahouse is in that area. We will know for sure when the maps come out.

I have officially lost 20+ pounds since mid jan.

I also came down with gout.

Lordy that stuff hurts. Foot woke me up about 2:30 am. Getting a bit better now. Hope i don't get an attack again.

Cool beans Sue

I been working on my tear a bit to get ready. Need to do some more of course and going to get some shade cloth so I can have a bit of shade. And maybe a recliner so I can nap under it.

8)

I got a bicycle and ride it a bit. Just wondering how soft the playa is. I do ride a lot in gravel just for practice. ( i feel sorry for that bike )

I picked up a Coleman Extreme cooler last week at an Estate sale for $10. Has thicker insulation than most so Ice should last at least a day. Not sure what I want to bring that needs cooling. Other than my Moose Drool. But probably will not bring that anyway. Fresh fruit would be nice to have.

Hey, the VW camp is at 3:00 and Funeral. at least I think it is Funeral. Looks like open camping to either side of it.

Hi all. You can see what camps have registered here:

http://whereareyoucamping.org/

VW Bus Camp looks like it is 3:00 and F. But the purple areas on the map are for registered theme camps only.

We will be camping with two virgin friends this year and are looking to be around 3:00-3:30 and H or I. We will be out there on Tuesday morning. Our camp is called CHAN Camp.

I heard that the Playa is in great shape this year, better than any year before. The Playa is generally hard packed with some piles of dust we call Playa Snakes or Quicksand. It's like riding on a dry lake bed, but when you hit those piles of dust, your wheels can go out from under you.

I will be on the lookout for any teardrops in the area. I usually bike around the entire city. :D

Christina, your dot on the map shows you at H and 4:00. Does that mean you for sure have space there, or it's approx where you will be? Do you know from the past that coming in Tues morn there will probably be plenty of space available in that area?

I hope to be arriving sometime monday afternoon, and that area looks good to me as well. there will be at least 2 of us (shelly and I) coming in together, so will nail down some space somehow.

I'll plant a spot on the map when the votes (all 3?) are in and tallied
We'll have to plan on some signage or flaggage as well.
