2007 Mendocino Coast Gathering >>>> NEW DATE

Postby Lazybones » Mon Aug 21, 2006 8:59 pm

I have been asked a few times about the dates for 2007 gathering. So I have decided to post them now so that you can mark your calenders.

Please put July 20th-22nd down now and plan on enjoying an other outing on the coast.

hope to see you all there!

These dates coincide with the Mendocino Music and Art Festival as they did this year.

I hope to see you all there!

Mongo is Dougs brother. He is just to embarrassed to admit to it after a life time of shame.

Forgive me, Rick (and everyone else), if I get the spelling wrong, but it's at the Cabrillo Highlands Campground, which more-or-less borders the Point Cabrillo Lighthouse & Grounds (on the south side), somethig like 2 miles south of Ft. Bragg and 6 miles north of Mendocino. You CAN'T see it from Hwy 101, and there are no signs ... you have to take Cabrillo Road (from the south end is best), and look for the Highlands trailer park on the west side of the road. Definitely a cool place with a great view! I had a great time there last year ... you won't regret going, I'm sure!

Thanks Grant,

That tells me it is closer to Albion by the bridge. I used to Abalone dive at Point Arena and played around by Albion

Aw, the 20th thru 22nd of July. That'll be a good ending for our Minden trip. Three gatherings in 5 weeks. Let's see, to get there I'll be comming from Pennsylvania. Hmmmm, maybe I can get the long distance award.

Sure would like to have the 352 in the '56 by then. It's got to get better gas milage than the wagon with the 390.

Rick,

Point Cabrillo Highlands is closer to Russian Gultch. Six miles south of Fort Bragg and two miles north of Mendocino.

I'm glad to hear your thinking of coming down!!

Gage,

You're really going to be burning up the freeways again this year aren't you!

Boy it sure looks like it. 1400+ to Minden and then 1400+ to the Pocono Get Away and then at least 3000 coming back (I just may take the Pilot). Don't want to see the same road twice. Was going to come back on Route 66 but if we go to your gathering, it'll put us to far south so it looks like that route is out. Oh, more planning to do. :?

I guess I shouldn't complain about 560+ miles. I just hate the 10 hour drive.

Did I mention I've got Selective Dislexia ... :? ... :? ...?

Gage ...

I'm looking at something close to 12,000 miles (or more) in just over 60 days, but I'm willing to bet that Kai will beat us both if he comes up out of Mexico, again, for the ITG ... 8) ... 8) ...

Lee ...

If I can pull this thing off, the west coast won't see me 'til mid-August. As much as I'd like to, I doubt I'll make it to Mendo this year. I know you'll all have a grand time, though ...

Oh, hey ... give me a call, will you ...?
