SLO T-shirt design help

Postby Ma3tt » Fri Jul 13, 2007 11:37 am

Ok so I have bitten off more than I can chew this summer and I need some creative help! Just so you know what I am chewing on: oldest daughter gettin married in October, son going to San Jose State remodeling a mobile home for him to live in, Youngest going to San Diego for school and our annual service trip to the Indian reservation with 14 youth. wew!

Anyway here are some ideas I have been thrashing around and I think we might be able to make a little contest out of this, maybe a couple cast iron pans to the winner. IF you have any submissions please post them here and Ira a "Not everything in Montana De Oro is flat" may be an instant winner.

Matt,
I don't know how exactly you would do it, but I like the bottom picture in black & white with the silhouetted teardrop. Could have something like that with just simple lettering saying S.L.O. Gathering or 1st S.L.O. Gathering with the date September 13-15, 2007 or for that matter the way you have the lettering on the other 2 designs if fine too.
Looks like a good start to me.
Be interesting to see what other creative minds come up with too.
Martha ;)

I'm not going, but for my opinion....when ever you make a t-shirt, you don't want solid colors like you have above...you want openness...so that you don't put so much ink on the t-shirt.

As an example. Here's is a design for my birthday celebration:

But here is a better design for a t-shirt:

Do you get my drift? Just trying to help...aka sticking my nose in where it don't belong!

My plan was to sponsor the dash plaques...I don't have a contact for T shirt screening, and to keep the price down on the plaques, we need to do them in 1 color on a metallic, or painted background. Minimum run is 50 and depending on what we have for artwork, that will be about 125$. I just figured that if someone were going to do shirts, that the dash plaques ought to match. Doug

If I have to choose between the 3 I like the middle. Montana De Oro oddly have very little sandy beaches it is more vertical rocks from the earth moving, Views of Morro Bay, and sites of low brush. It does have setting sun and the Ocean. But the Cliffs are even different.

as you can see here.

I'd like a teardrop and a playful sea otter. Maybe with Morro Rock in the background. Wish I was an artist so I could sketch something up.
