Dean, nothing is broken, it just isn’t ready to move side to side.

Many miles and many tears. Times were hard but now they're changing.
You should know that I'm not afraid.

tables

Postby Esteban » Wed Aug 01, 2007 11:45 pm

With all this waffle goodness and a Saturday evening potluck we're going to need some tables for the vittles and more of them to sit at to visit and sup. Does anyone have one or more you can bring?

There's no tables at the camp ground? I don't remember. I know that down below they have tables. We just move them around.

8) Gage,
There's a picnic table at each campsite. The camp :applause::applause: host has been very  supportive of our gathering at Montana de Oro. I want to fully respect :) her kindness :) and the park rules. It's against MdeO campground rules to  move tables. We may have 50-70 people coming to the Saturday :picnic:  :Flippin Burger: potluck so we can use lots of tables for people and the food. This yummy :D waffle contest talk seems like  a good time and place to make a request for people who can bring tables to do so. :D :) 8)

When the MaxiTear group was down at the other S.P. (last two years now in Jan.) That;s what we did for our Sat. pot luck. Just be sure to put them back right afterwards. We let the Rangers know what we were doing and assured them that they would be put right back where they came from after the P.L.-no problem. :)

With you two dressing up I don't feel nearly as bad for not being able to make it to SLO. :frightened:

Doug,
I'll pass, but if you wanna dress up like a women... I'm cool with that.
I think you'd make a better Julia Child though, than a Tanya Harding... Besides Julia got everyone cooking. :R

Doug,
The only thing I'm uncomfortable about is not being able to attend the SLO Gathering and participate in the 1st Annual SLO Waffle Shootout. :fb

Here's a practice run of something along the lines that I'd enter in the Big Waffle Shootout...
Image
This here is a Blueberry Vanilla Cream Cheese Filled Waffle topped with more of that delicious vanilla cream cheese filling and fresh Canadian blueberries, drenched with pure Canadian maple syrup.

You can see the filling in the bite setting on my fork...

My advise on a filled waffle like this... Make sure that the waffle encapsulates the filling...

You should have told everyone that you used mayonaise, for Ira's sake.

Hmmm... The flash from the camera does make the vanilla cream filling look white like mayonaise.
It was more tan colored in natural light, most likely from the overdosage of vanilla extract.

Oh well... I doubt Ira reads this end of the forum, maybe I can spoof him later with it.

I mainly posted that to give you participants a heads up...
I'm soaking two of my irons right now, because the vanilla cream cheese filling doesn't work like batter if allowed to come in contact with the iron...
I didn't try adding olive oil to the filling mixture though...

Dan & Chris,
We've got it on our list for next year for sure...
Once school starts back up, it's tough for Joanie to get time off with short notice...
I'm considering taking my shingle down and re-entering the ranks of the employee work force and if so, I'll need to schedule getaways well in advance also.
Self employment has many freedoms but....
