Do you have the best recipe for chili, stew or dessert? Is your family looking for unique quality time together? If so, the Amateur Campground Cook-off is a must attend event!

Creative chefs are invited to prepare their best original recipe using an outdoor cooking method (open fire, charcoal, or dutch oven; electricity is not allowed). Trophies or ribbons plus valuable prizes are awarded to the top three winners in each category.

Teams may have up to five participants and should plan to bring all items necessary to prepare and cook their dish on-site (i.e., food, ice, utensils, cookware, fire pit, grill, fuel, shade, and bleach).
Teams may pre-register to camp overnight on Friday. Campers will be treated to a Weenie/Marshmallow Roast and Rootbeer Keg Party, evening entertainment by the fire, and a light breakfast on Saturday.

The public is invited to come out and savor mouthwatering aromas from tasty recipes and cast their votes for the People's Favorite. Live entertainment and drawings are scheduled throughout the day. Food vendors will be on-hand to satisfy heartier appetites and booths will be set up to provide expert information about camping and outdoor cooking.

100% of the proceeds from this fundraiser benefit future Lake Pleasant Park programs and events. The park depends on help from sponsors and volunteers who play an important role in making the event successful!

Rondavoux live on stage from 2pm - 4pm!

From I-17 take SR74 (Carefree Highway) west; turn right at mile post 19; 3 miles to park entrance.
