Ken: At 30 ish :o I don't think I qualify for the pass.
And I figure the California campgrounds regs. are crazy and so are some of the people :? I really would love to caravan over so I don't have the experience of having to deal with a crazy (think Deer Hunter). Safer to travel in pack right?

Gerdo: You stumbled on to my brelliant and evil plan.

Hello Everybody,

I have a question for the Californians.

Has any body been to Half Moon Bay for Camping? Just wondering if it is a safe place, and what do I have to know before camping there.

Thanks Everyone

I have never camped in that area. There does not seem to be a ton of spots

Pelican Point R V Park, Half Moon Bay is the only commercial park in the area. Google it and you will find very mixed reviews.

Who on the forum lives in the area and has space in the driveway?

My wife and I love Half Moon Bay area but there doesn't seam to be any camping around that area. We camped way south last trip up to IRG 1.0 in Santa Cruz at New Brighton State Beach. Look for casinos they usaully have Rv areas with security and other RVers. But crazy's are everywhere
So if your in N.M AZ or CALIF. be aware of your surroundings.

Also Mandy if you haven't made reservations for the coast they are probably full by now. I make mine at least 6 months advance for the coastal camping. But alot of state parks have overnight camp spots they save for people on the go. so if the park says full ask if they have a over night stay.

Thanks everybody for the replies.

I wish I had a TD by now. But it looks like tent camping is what I have to do. Thanks alot for the Info. I just love Santa Cruz I had family who I would visit over the summer and that was one of the places they would take me. I just can't wait to show my family around that has never been there. Looks like I might have to reserve now Huh, only problem I don't know when I will get there I wonder how long It would take to get there from Kingsman AZ does anybody know? Map Quest gave me a rediculious answer and I know that it dosen't take traffic into account.

I'm just full of questions.....
Thanks
