Are you ready to celebrate New Years Eve under the stars in Las Vegas, NV?

The Nevada of Tear Jerkers Chapter invites you to our first and last gathering of 2010!

WHEN:

Friday December 31, 2010 through Sunday January 2, 2011.

WHERE:

Lake Mead National Recreation Area at the Boulder Beach Campground, Boulder City, NV, 89005

601 Nevada Highway
Boulder City, NV 89005

702/293-8907

The website says, “There is the quiet and stark beauty of the desert. There are imposing scenes of the ancient, twisted mountains of the Basin and Range province and the colorful vertical walls and high plateaus of the Grand Canyon. There is unspoiled back country, and there is Hoover Dam - a towering symbol of what human genius can achieve. The range of experiences is as broad as the lakes and as big as the land.â€

Are you still planning on this? I just checked out the campground on the web and it looks beautiful. I would think it would not be very crowded that time of year. Do you know if they have senior discounts?

We will be there with so far at least 5 other teardrops. The campground is quite and peaceful. I am not sure about senior discounts but it is a national rec area.

Hope to see you there.

Sr. Discount

Postby Carol Reed » Wed Oct 06, 2010 11:17 pm

Ramsey -

In response to your Sr. Discount question.... Yes, if you have the National Park Pass. It gets you into the Lake Mead area for FREE, and then the campground is half-price. Well worth the $10.00 it costs for the lifetime pass !!!

Hope to see you there.

Kathleen, I don't mean to be a stick in the mud, but Tear Jerkers is two words no mater what Guy says. ;)
Hope your New Years Gathering goes well. Sorry, but we won't be able to make it.

We look forward to meeting and camping with you! We just came back from camping at Lake Mead for our Thanksgiving gathering. The weather was great, food fabulous and camp fire time grand.

Can't wait for the event!

I have friends in Vegas that I want to visit, and if all goes well, I plan to attend the New Years event, bringing my 245 lb, 6ft little 1/4 Nelson Stacker for it's trial run. Now, don't let it get too cold, you know old folks can't take low temps........Old, what's that, just a number, right? See you there.
8) ;) Roly, (ah yes, just another item to check off of my Bucket List!)

This is on my "tentative" list. Depends on how cold it will be. My beloved won't be happy if it's too cold, and I don't want to turn her off to camping.
God Bless
