Cool beans

Don't know how close camping will be. This is kind of a "fly by the seat of your pants" thing. I will try to get up there again to scout it out a bit more.

Randy,

Sounds like it could be a lot of fun.
I will keep monitoring for updates.
Also depends if (due to be made redundant end of the year) or were I will be working come next summer.

Beware the Lady in White while you are there. Be careful where you camp or vamp. :o

Cool every one. Not sure just where the camping is yet. If you have portapots and all might be good to bring along. Could be real boondocking.

Wolfgang,

Sad to here about you being made redundant. That happened to me the end of 2009. Now i am not making even 40% of what I use to and what I am doing is more physical than I should be doing. But I do have more time off for camping. Can't afford it but I get some in.

Meadow Lake Campground is a bit south and west of town, looks like a beautiful spot to camp.

Ya, i been kinda in the dumps, and mostly broke so didn't go myself. Saving up for next week and regional Burning Man event in Utah. One tank of gas away and ticket a whole lot cheaper. And I bet Utah burners are a wild and crazy bunch.

Have a good trip to the burn and send us pictures, but do watch out for those Utah folk, they'll go out target shooting and burn the whole forest down. :NC (How do you start a forest fire target shooting?)

See you in September at Twain & Tears!

Several ways to start a fire while shooting. One is using ammo with a hardened steel insert. Found in a lot of Mil surplus ammo. Or using exploding targets.

It does sound like the Utah burn is more highly patrolled by party poopers. And no one under 18 is allowed because someone might get nekid there. And those between 18 to 20 years old get a special wrist band so they don't get any alcohol. I suppose it will still be hot, dusty and might be kind of salty as it is very close to what is called "The Chemical Desert".

Randy, still looking for a playa name to find me
