I was at Big Lake a week ago. It was just fantastic. All nice and green. If people are worried about it being burned from the Wallow Fire, Not True. It is as pretty as I have ever seen it. :D

"Steve" ~ This campground seems to have good views with shade and fishing too?
And as Eddie says the temps will be nice for camping.

Apache Trout Campground is the newest of five campgrounds at the Big Lake Recreation Area in Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest.
It is especially popular for group camping. This family campground is in close proximity to the heavily stocked Big Lake and close to
a general store and boat rentals. With boating and fishing facilities and many amenities, Apache Trout is a convenient
and comfortable place to stay. Plenty of open space, shaded forests and mountain scenery make for an even more pleasant
outdoor experience.

Sorry folks, due to circumstances beyond my control(gas prices) and maybe the lack of interest I have canceled the Campout in the Pines gathering for June 7-10. For the few that have pre-registered you will be receiving a full refund. Thanks
