Just got back from a cross country trip and spent two nights at TEN X campground located just outside the Grand Canyon (South Rim). The campground had only really nice chemical toilets without showers but is a really nice campground. The campsites had more footage than my lawn in eastern NC and probably be a condo development in most western cities. They have 2 really nice group sites -one that accommodates 70 people and another that handled 130. The larger site reserves for $130 per night and would be an awesome place for a gathering. Showers are close by for $2.50 at the other federal campground just inside the canyon entrance. The park service runs bus shuttle service (free) to within about 3 miles of the campground. I just qualified for a gezzer card and camping fee was only $5 per night. Might make a good place to plan a gathering if you guys need to find any campgrounds. Just google TEN-X campground for a better description.
