Where do the group numbers stand at this point? If the weather, air quality, and work schedules all work out, we might head that way. I knew we weren't in a position to make a commitment in advance, so I didn't speak up before. Is it regular campground for all additional teardroppers at this point?

Hello everyone: Any last minute folks that want to attend will need to camp in the regular camp ground sites. You will need to pay the park for your stay. They only take cash. ($20 per night) So bring cash with you to pay the park for your stay. Those who stay in the group site will pay Terry or myself cash as well for their stay.

We are also allowed to have tents in the group site.

Davis Creek Park is 18 Miles south of the I-80/US 395 junction in Reno & about 10 Miles north of Carson City

Directions to get to the park: Davis creek is between Reno and Carson City off of US 395.

From Reno: Take US 395 South to Exit 50 (Old US 395/Davis Creek Park) Turn right. The park is the first right turn to the right at the bottom of the exit. (Davis Creek Road)

From Carson City: Take US 395 North to Exit 50 (Old US 395/Washoe City) The park is to your left over the freeway and turn right at the first turn to the right. (Davis Creek Road)

(Terry, the wife) I'm so excited I just can's hide it. :woohoo:
The time is almost here. Looking forward to seeing everyone. :ilovecamp:

Well some good news. We have our teardrop (actually more like a squaredrop) ready for Falling Tears. We had it campable for Walk the Winds in Wyoming, only a portion of the roof was just raw wood as I ran out of fiberglass. The weather at Walk the Winds was great but we did have to throw up the easy up to protect the unfinished roof when we had an afternoon shower, other than that the tear was great. I ordered more glass and we are now weather tight (notice I avoided the use of the term waterproof). So we won't be bringing our fiberglass Trillium but we will be bringing our tear. Looking forward to seeing you all. Lee and Norma

Looking at Dan's map, it appears that the group campground is all the way to the back of the recreation area, which means we will be passing through the middle of the South campground and then turning to the right on a road that juts off just before the North campground. As the crow flies, the North campground doesn't look that far from the group site and I'm betting that there are some unofficial walking paths between the two.

I have driven through the campground and noticed a sign and a locked gate that seemed to lead to the group campground. i think we're down that road but could be wrong It' not a big campground so it should still be pretty easy to find everyone. \just two more days. I can't wait... It's been a very busy summer at work. i need a long weekend of camping to reset my stress level  :o 8) :D

Hi,
Sorry to day, :( Glenn and I probably won't make it to the campout this coming weekend! Family coming to town and we have another obligation as well. Due to the late notice, we are happy to pitch in the $$ to make up for it, please let me know who/where to send the money.
Shelly and Glenn

Hello Shelly & Glenn: Sorry you are not able to come. You will not be charged because you can't come. You would only be charged if you did come. We will see you guys at some other function next year. Thanks for the heads up tho.

The official check in is at Noon. There is no one in the group site right now so we can get in there a little earlier than that. We will see what Mr. Ranger has to say...
We plan on going up real early. If we can't get in, we will just wait in the overflow parking until it is open. :x

See you there...
