Tearless for Christmas

Postby desertmoose » Fri Oct 18, 2013 6:13 pm

Anyone for a tearless gathering?

We am thinking a Christmas potluck would be fun. :wine: However since we have a small home in Carson City, We would need to limit it to the first 10 couples/ individuals (kids are welcome also). My thoughts are that Sam and I can provide a turkey and then everyone could bring a dish (and a chair....) We'll coordinate the dishes when you sign up so we don't have 10 green bean casseroles to go with the turkey.....

We'd like to have a small gift exchange. For the gift exchange it would be something to deal with teardropping and limited to $20. We could just put numbers in a bag and then matching numbers on the gifts. Each couple would draw a number and claim a gift. We could also do this white elephant style.

Reply here to let us know if this is something that anyone would be interested in and We can set up a date and time.

Okay, so we are looking at Saturday, December 14th. We would start gathering around 2:00 PM or earlier if you want to come for a visit first. Dinner would be between 3:30 and 4:00 PM, leaving time to visit without getting to late for anyone that had to leave for a long drive home.

We would love to join you. There's a possible conflict but count us in. I'll let you know by the weekend if there is a conflict

We would love to come but have another commitment later that evening. Would it be too awful if we had to bail around 5:00? This is going to be a gas.

Cheers,

Dave

DMcCam, you can bail anytime you want to but I can't promise that dinner will be over by then. I do however promise not to lock anyone in....

Okay so far I have the following, let me know if I have made a mistake.

Sam - Kat - Turkey
Randy - Debbie - yam DO casserole
Mel - Jan -
Dave - Lisa - Maybe
Dan - Angie and critters -
Johnny - Terry -

So counting Sam and I there are a possible 14 of us and so far 2 dishes. I will be watching to see if there are any corrections and looking forward to what everyone wants to bring.
