Planning to be there this year. Would be part of a longer jaunt with the teardrop but the dates work for me. Recently read "Roughing It" by Mark Twain (again) and would love to see the area up close.

I have long advocated reading Ruoghing It. Before reading any other Samuel Clemens.

You better understand his view on things.

Is there still room for another Teardrop? :NC I asked once, but must have submitted it wrong. :(
Do you need reservations? I would like to take my "maiden voyage" to the gathering in Unionville.
I have just finished redo-ing my old teardrop.
Thank you, Sincerely, Ramblin' Ruby :NC

Ruby:
No need for reservations, and plenty of room.
Just say you're coming, and we'll leave the light on for you.

Looking forward to seeing you and your new trailer.

So, its only a month away! Time for a roll call! Reply here or send me a pm so we know how many to expect. Also, if you pm me an email address, I will send you a lovely travelog to keep you occupied on your trek across the 40 mile desert. I plan on arriving Thursday sometime. Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Ramblin' Ruby here - I am from Loyalton, CA - (just northeast of Reno) So, it won't be too long of a drive for me.
Looking forward to trying out my "new and improved" teardrop. Also, so looking forward to meeting teardrop owners.!!! I'm just hoping I can make it - plans have changed as to who takes care of my father - I have some time, tho' . Wish me luck.!!!

I will be solo on this trip. Going to combine it with a buddies golf trip in the Sierra's with a bunch of other guys. Dolores has a separate fuction that weekend. I recently went through a period of physical therapy for a chronic degenerative disc problem but most of the soreness is gone although some of the stiffness and inflexibilty remain. I can function ok for camping etc.

Lee and Norma still coming. Just not sure which trailer. We recently purchased a 17 foot BigFoot and might bring it also have a Trails West fiberglass pop up and of course the "Grasshopper" is still in the mix ( you can't have to many trailers can you ). in any case will make a decision and be there.

Just a little update for those coming. If you have not been there before, there plenty of potable water, but only one porta potty. If you have one of your own, you might want to pack it. We are looking at about 15 trailers by Saturday! The tall cottonwoods are gone, but the pine trees and the apple trees are still there. If you have a shade canopy, be sure and bring it. Weather, although not available this far out, is expected to be in the nineties. Be sure and bring plenty of ice. We have found a wet towel over the ice chest to be very effective in conserving ice. The nearest ice is about 25 miles away. Plan for a Friday and Saturday night potluck, and we may do a communal breakfast on Saturday, for those interested and awake. I will be arriving Wednesday evening. Be prepared to spend your days lounging around on the grass, hiking, sight seeing, fossil hunting or napping. I'm am sure you will love this hidden gem of Nevada. Send me a PM if you have any questions, and no, it is not too late to join the fun. See you all soon!
