I have seen these use in scouts,http://familyfun.go.com/Resources/picnictable.pdf if it is to be used by "average size" adults they are fine.
Recently I "won" a tee shirt, when I looked at the size my thought was "who can wear a 2XL"? but probably for the oppisite reason that you would think the same thing....

OK..I have to admit.....I like the dress. But for camping???? No way. But it is cute. At Vintage trailer rallies they have 'Open Trailer' time..and I'd wear something like that then, if my rig was of that era (50's-60's?)

Is there 'Open Trailer' at tear gatherings? Or is that just part of the ongoing meet?

At the DAM Gathering, it seems to be open trailer all the time. I had visitors while eating breakfast, doing dishes, making the bed...

But the same happens in almost every campground I visit. Often I've barely unhitched before there are folks asking questions, usually "Did you make that?"
