Prawn & Bratwurst Soup

Postby campmaster-k » Tue Nov 22, 2011 6:08 pm

1 package your fav. flavor Jonesville brat. I like the regular ones.
1 lb great big prawns cleaned and de-veined.
2 can sweet corn not drained or fresh corn.
1 little box fresh mushroom chopped.
1 lrg carrot chopped fine.
2 lrg red potato chopped fine.
1 lrg container chicken broth
1 lrg red onion chopped fine.
1 small bottle snows clam juice.
1 head garlic (all cloves) chop fine.

Brown the brauts. set aside.
Brown the prawns in lots of lemon pepper in evoo. set aside.
Brown onion add garlic. Add stock, clam juice and all other except meat.
Simmer until veg is tender. Add meat and Prawn salt to taste. Serve with lots of heavily buttered bread.

For a change add cream with the meat to get more of a chowder.

Its just as happy on the stove as in a Dutch Oven.

P.S.

We serve it with a dollop of sour cream and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.
