EASY POTATO SOUP RECIPE:

Ingredients:
1/2 stick of butter
1 Cup frozen chopped onions or regular onions.
2 Cups milk
3 Cups water
1 can chicken broth
1 can cream of chicken soup
2 (30 or 32 oz.) bag frozen hash-brown potatoes (I like the squared, southern style)
1 or 2 Cups shredded cheese, I like Mexican Cheddar Pepper Jack

Season to taste.

Directions:

1. In a large pot, melt the butter and saute the onions.

2. Add milk, water, chicken broth, and cream of chicken soup. Stir together.

3. Add potatoes and stir together.

2. Heat till it just starts to boil. Cover and simmer on low heat for about 30
minutes.

3. Just before removing from stove stir in shredded cheese.

You can also do this outside in a dutch oven.

If you like a little heat in your potato soup, this is what I use.

1. 1 Tbs garlic powder.
2. 1 Tbs course ground black pepper.
3. 1 Tbs Mrs Dash Southwest Chipotle.
