Make your own baking (etc) mixes

Postby S. Heisley » Thu Dec 03, 2015 1:49 pm

Just ran across these 10 recipes today: http://www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/cook ... ng-mixes#1

Don't think of them as just for baking. There are recipes for biscuits, dumplings, pancakes, waffles, etc.
There is even a recipe for a gluten-free flour mix among them.

Created from various sources by Taste of Home magazine, these recipes are tested before they are ever added to their website.
I have yet to find a bad recipe from this particular website.
So, if you're into making your own mixes, this website might be one for you!

Nice post Sharon.
I copied the link and others to my wife's email account so she can browse them.
I then looked through a gazillion links and saw a lot of pulled pork and beef sandwiches I would like to try. I would alter some with my pulled pork recipes where I cook for 5 hours on my Holland grill. Grilling on my grill for half the time and adding it to the crock pot can give great results. The meatloaf sandwich looks tempting too.

Thanks, Sharon! This is great for those who backpack and camp. I think my mom used to get the TOH magazine, and I loved the recipes in there.
