I'm not much of a cook. At home I am a microwave or carry-out guy. I do like cooking for my friends or participating in pot lucks while camping. I prefer breads and desserts. Easy recipes, as I'd rather be out fishing or hiking than cooking. Here's one of my easy favorites and it gets good reviews from folks.

Lemon-Blueberry dumpcake/cobbler

1 box Krusteaz Lemon Pound Cake Mix
1 can blueberry pie filling
1 basket fresh blueberries
1 1/2 sticks butter

Spread pie filling and berries evenly on bottom of 12" Dutch oven
Shake cake mix over that and also spread evenly
Cut 1 1/2 sticks of butter into pats and space and spread them evenly on top

Cook about 1 hour at 350 or until mostly brown on top. Not critical, as it is almost impossible to burn.

You can drizzle on the included lemon frosting if you wish. Top with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

I used to make this with yellow cake mix, but the lemon mix gives it a little extra zing. I have also made this with blackberries. I still have to try raspberries.

Hope you like it.
