Wanted Fulton Coupler

That is the nicest looking "Fulton Coupler" I think I've ever seen.

I have an NOS Speedmaster Coupler but has some shelf wear and rust:



I went out and looked at my hitch...it is identical to yours with the exception I do not have any hardware so not sure of the knob/bolt orientation.

If you do decide to part with the little jewel, please let me know.

If it is ok I'd like to copy your pictures for reference and use it on my Bantam T3-C site link and will give you credit.

Was the Woody Trailer I posted above in Rantoul at the tractor show yours?

Yes, I was at the Rantoul tractor show with the trailer.
They let me stay on the grounds for free if I bring the old car...tough choice

Your Speedmaster looks pretty good, nothing that won't clean up!
I've seen them on E bay, but not very often.

When I bought my Fulton, I could have bought 7 of them...but figured I'd never need more than one...

I don't have an Acme catalog...lost out in the bidding

Different trailer manufacturers had contracts with/purchased parts from the different suppliers.

Acme offered products to both manufacturers and the public, much like Fulton, Bull Dog, and many others.

The coupler may well have been original equipment on several brands of trailer, as well as coupling any number of homebuilts.

Thanks for the offer Rob, but I'm going to get a couple of the repair kits and see what I can do. Here's a pic of the KIT coupler. The Orphan has only got the coupler, no guts.

You're welcome.

I think with your ingenuity you can get a repair kit to work with the coupler body on your trailer.

They all work pretty much the same way, by being able to tighten/loosen the ball retention plate.
If you come up with a fix, please post your method, and parts used.
I'll bet a lot of folks would be grateful to you for solving this (common) dilemma!

Thanks for posting that again!

Sure looks like a 5 minute fix!

It should work well for a 2" coupler, but would need modification or an original retention plate to be used for the 1-7/8" coupler.
One might well be able to grind down the new plate, looks pretty substantial.

Resurrecting an old post.

Still looking for Fulton 06 couplers or parts, safety chains with these style hooks and Arrow 41 tail lamps or parts all used on the Bantam T3-C and Spen Model S or H utility trailers to name a few. Also Bantam T3-C Trailers and Parts.
