Thanks Kevin, I should have thought of searching ebay

I've seen those type of wheels around at farm auctions before, just never knew what they were called, and didn't realise they were desireable. Will have to watch for them now (of course, now that I'm watching for them, I'll probably never find anymore).

Hey Steve,

I've never seen those before. Nice looking wheels. Where in the world did they get the name Artillary Wheels?

Hi Chris, how's the weather in Oklahoma?

I think they call them artillery wheels because they resemble the wheels on old artillery pieces. Where in the world? I dunno......

Steve

Here's the real thing.... they look like this, don't they??? :D

Good evening....

Yes I did get them and they are in good shape, they are also at the paintshop at present time...

It sure was a rare find here...This is what they would look like on a 37 Chevrolet....If the spoke wheels I have are for a FORD, then whats the difference in the ones on the Chevrolet? Had to ask because Im not that old.. I guess I wasnt even a blink in my dads eye yet back in 37..

Interesting, Steve. Think I'd rather find the ones you showed in your first picture, though.

Its the 17 inch Artillery Rims that are quite difficult to find.. There seems
to be more of the 15 inch around...
