Designed and built by me in 2014, it sits on a 5'x8 Northern Tool trailer frame. The stock leaf spring suspension, axle, and hubs were upgraded to a Dexter Torflex rubber torsion axle with Dexter hubs (does not have brakes). The tongue was lengthened and reinforced with a 2x2x3/16" steel tube. The stock 12" wheels were upgraded to 15" alloy wheels with Gladiator 205-75/15 highway-speed rated radial trailer tires. With the lengthened tongue, upgraded suspension, and full-size tires, this camper tows like a dream even on dirt roads.
There is a 2" hitch receiver in the rear for a cargo rack (to be included) or bike rack, and a small cargo rack on the tongue.
For boondocking, there are two 100W solar panels on the roof and rear hatch, feeding two 100Ah lead acid batteries through a Morningstar 20A charge controller. The batteries are almost 5 years old and will be replaced prior to sale.
There is also a Progressive Dynamics PD4045 power center, providing AC/DC distribution and 3-stage smart charger for the batteries. This provides power to the entire trailer when plugged into campground power. While in storage, I leave the camper plugged in 24/7, as the smart charger also maintains the batteries through charge cycles.
In the galley, there is a marine-rated Sony CD player with auxiliary input. There is a little bluetooth receiver plugged in currently, and is included. The head unit drives four 6" Kicker component speakers (2 inside, 2 in the galley).
USB charging ports are provided in the headboard of the main cabin, and also in the galley. Also in the headboard is a control panel for the stereo system.
A 5,000btu air conditioner is located in the wall that separates the cabin from the galley. It is removable in case you are cool-weather camping and don't need to take it along. The bulkhead wall also has two hinged doors, one of which is for the air conditioner and the other works great as a dog door. This also works great to take along a folding canopy that can be passed through easily.
The walls, floor and roof of the camper are wood sandwich panel construction, with 3/4" insulation. The outside is finished with Valspar exterior grade oil-based paint over Kilz primer, with black trim done with Herculiner textured bedliner. The front roof panel has acrylic skylights and completely opens up LED lighting throughout.
Inside is a 4" memory foam mattress, and a shelf above your feet to put your gear. No cabinets, because cabinets can be heavy and are a waste of space. There are two removable rails across the front of the shelf, which could be used as a bed for a small child or dog.
The trailer has all required DOT lighting (LED) and a 2" coupler with saftey chains. It is currently located in Hanover, PA but is registered in Maine. I have the transferable Maine registration ready to sign over, and I will also provide a notarized bill of sale.
