Postby whitby guy » Wed Dec 31, 2008 1:20 pm

Hi all:
Happy New Year to everyone. :)
I missed the fall gathering at Presquile Park and I still want to do a shake-down run before Fish Creek, so I booked into Presquile on May 15 and 16.
I'm on site 177. If anyone cares to join in please feel free.

Jawbone:
Trying to get into a provincial park during the summer (or spring in my case) must involve planning. Killbear was already booking up into july.

Hi Sandy,

Kate and I will be camping at Presquile on May 12th... will just miss you! We are then heading to Niagara on the Lake for a few days (at a fine B&B) then down to the Tearjerker Spring Camporee at Delta Lake State Park (about 2 hours south of Fish Creek) for a few days, then up to Fish Creek for a few more days and then back up to Ottawa. Would be great to have a gathering sometime in Ontario... Bon Echo is always a great choice or Algonguin.

Kate and I are getting itching to get out there. First camping trip will be in 4 weeks! We have 6 camping trips reserved already, and another 5 or 6 tenative for early/late season.

We been busy getting ready: prep for the TearUp of course, new 135W solar panel system has been ordered and is sitting in the bedroom ready to be tested, been shopping for folding bikes today for camping. New camp sign project underway, polishing the tear will start in mid April, we have some mods to do to the Airstream as well, some re-engineering of the portable dock, researching internet in motion technology... the list goes on and on. Camping is a major under taking here, ever since we retired from tent camping ha ha!

I know what you mean about wanting to get out...seems winter has dragged on long enough. I like the idea of Bon Echo or Algonquin. Even been thinking about the Eganville area, maybe doing a little caving with the camping.
Still playing around with the tear...always finding more things to do.
Looking forward to Fish Creek.

Thats what Timmy mugs are for... Rather go without oxygen than beer...The ban only applies if you get caught and with everyone from newborns to the grandparents drinking timmy's these days I think I can make my escape before they sniff my mug :R :R :R :R :R
