Any teardroppers that mountain bike or cycle in Ontario?

I do a few events Like the Epic Mountain Bike series and we are planning on making a four day weekend for the race in July.

There is also a race in Sept but we would only do an overnighter for that one.

Both races are at Hardwood Hills just north of Barrie,

The races are 8 hours long, but you do it on a team (or solo!!!). The events are fun. I've been doing them for a few years now.

If this raises your curiosity, let me know

Hi there,

Actually, we are going to be at Arrowhead from June 30th to July 4th, and Mcrae Point Provincial Park from July 23rd to July 26th

We are also going away the last week of August but it is a toss up between north towards Timmins or west to Superior

I do both the L2L and P2A
Also the Epic 8's at Hardwood and Mansfield

Might skip them this year though due to vacation conflicts

What else do you do...I'm getting more into Road...just bought a Cervelo S2 :D

Let me know if and when you are going to be at Hardwood. Do you bring your Teardrops to these events??

My best cycling days are behind me, competitive wise. I just like trying new events and stuff.I have raced these previously but I think I will do P2A this year and maybe L2L, and the odd duathlon.
I plan on going down to Kentucky next Jan (2013) for the world cyclo cross champs, just to watch of course :)

I really didn't need to ask if you did L2L as it's on your number plate.

Actually, you can't camp at Hardwood anymore. They stopped that after they changed ownership. You can take your trailer in for the day...thats it

My best days aren't behind me, but my fastest days are
L2L is only 29km this year  My wife has made me swear off MTB racing due to some really bad wrecks we saw last year. Still debating about P2A though...depends on the weather

Hey MountainBiker - I'm about 10 - 15 minutes from Hardwood - if you needed a place.

I wont do L2L if it's only that distance. I want to suffer a lot more than that for my money. I have always wanted to do this cross race in PA called "Iron Cross". I think it is 60 miles and in October sometime.
That would be a good target to get the Teardrop done by.

The first time I did L2L was about 6 years ago on a heavy hard tail bike.

The course was a lot tougher then and it was a very hot day. I would say that was the toughest single event I have ever done. When I finished I couldn't undo my helmet because my hands were shaking so much

They have cut out all the farmers feilds and it is now almost a cyclo cross event...don't know what the new course will be like, but I am not much interested in it.

Could have been one of the years I did it. I was there in 2005 and 2006. I had a really good ride in 06 but crashed about 50 feet from the finish line after hitting that hump/jump in the park.
I used to mtb race quite a bit but got fed up of laps on a circuit. I like the point to point stuff.
