Six Mile Lake Provincial Park

We're off to Six Mile Lake Provincial Park this weekend: Check it out

I've got every other Friday off, summer hours. We're heading up Thursday after work and home again on Sunday.

This post is just because nothing's been posted in the Ontario section for over a year, and that's just not right.

Have a great weekend,

Shil

Enjoy Shil!

Don't believe I've ever been to Six Mile. The only Ontario Camping we had/have planned this year was Sandbanks Provincial Park over the July 1st long weekend. Guess I should post some photos, but we've been teardropping most of the summer so its hard to keep up posting! :?

Cheers

We had a great weekend. Six Mile Lake is only a couple of hours north of Toronto. It was to hot to do anything, so we did nothing.

Forgot our camp furniture, so we used the back seats from the PT.

Ha ha! Good one Shil.

Back when I was dating my (now) wife, we drove from London to Ottawa and I stopped in to show her how nice Bon Echo Prov Park was. It was a fantastic day and we ended up deciding to stay overnight. At the time I had a Plymouth Voyageur with bench seats, and we had absolutely no camping gear, sleeping bags or food. We managed to get the last spot in the park which was a piddly little pullthrough. We took $20 and decided we'd use it to by camp gear and a fine camp meal. Our purchases included a hand grill for making toast on the fire, beach balls for pillows  (wifes idea), and some feather light emergency blankets that were VERY small. We bought blueberries, whipped cream as well served in styrofoam cups.

We enjoyed a romantic evening by the fireplace with our berries, whipped cream and toast sitting on our vans bench seat... but heck what a night! Sleeping on a had floor in a van on a cool night with a beach ball pillow and dish towel size blanket was a challenge!

Guess with the tear now we are indeed spoiled!
