Hi 1firefly. Glad to see another teardrop per in Ontario.
You just missed a small gathering for opening weekend at Awenda Provincial Park. Keep watching the Ontario section of this board, as the locals post when they are going somewhere to camp. Everyone is welcome, teardrop trailer or not (Maureen and Andy travel with an Aliner) so you are certainly encouraged to come out and meet the gang.
If you have booked a camping spot, let everyone know dates and location, you might start a gathering.

Hi firefly.
Looks like the park is booked up. Must be a popular spot on Saturday night.

Hi firefly.
It's the first "official" gathering of the central Canada group...I'm going, along with Jenn from Gatineau, and Patrick from southern Ontario (they have to go as they are directors). The campground is less than an hour from my house, so I have no excuses. I'm sure more will chime in as we get closer to the date...contact Patrick, as he may have a more updated list. We may have to shame some of the other tearjerkers into coming...or lure them out with cake (I know you're lurking jawbone) :D
If you are free for that weekend come on out. I don't think there's any alcohol ban for that weekend (again for you jawbone)

Sorry about the liquor joke...our small group has been to several provincial parks when alcohol is not allowed, not that would ever stop us getting together to go camping.

(altho we both benefit from her consumption  :? )
I will see what is on the agenda closer to the date!!

Sounds like a challenge.
Since the Coburg campground has electricity, the field is open to all sorts of cook wear. Bread makers, rice cookers, crock pots (maybe a pulled pork event!!), wow the mind boggles. Points awarded for old fashioned charcoal cooking though.
Does this mean that you are coming to Coburg? The more the merrier.

Jawbone:
What? You don't like the Cajun cake?
I didn't notice it (haven't seen the latest flyer), but we use them at work...maybe will borrow one for the next camping trip.
Maybe one of those cake pans will work, if I can find one the fit in the D.O.

Firefly:
Pie iron chicken pizza...sounds like you'll be a great fit with the group. Glad to hear you are coming out. Now maybe some of the other guys will get off the fence...it will be the first "official" gathering of the central Canada tearjerkers after all.

Good afternoon everyone!

My name is Ron and i'm from Cobourg Ontario.

Last fall someone gave me an old wooden box trailer from the 40's....I got the brainstorm to completely redo it and see if I could make a modified 4x8 Benroy style teardrop.....well its "finished"now! :)

The 1st "official" gathering is in Grafton huh! Well if nothing else, i'll surely take a drive down there just to see everyone else Teardrops as they are a bit of a rarity in Ontario! :)

Hope everyone is enjoying the HOT weather!
