Any tear droppers in NW Washington?

Postby Glenn Quarles » Fri Apr 18, 2014 1:06 am

Hi Friends, we recently moved to the Olympic peninsula of WA (Port Ludlow) and wanted to see if anyone else is up here?

Hope to hear from someone soon!

You won't have to wait long!
There are some very active Teardrop owners in the Pacific NW and the numbers continue to grow each day.
Check out T.O.W. line.

Thanks guys! I just signed up for the TOWline and look forward to meeting up with many of you! My wife and I are dragging "Clark" to Alaska this summer so that will take a big part of the summer, but we would like to make as many of the published get togethers as we can. If any of you NW folks have the flexibility in your schedule for "spontaneous" camping give me a call...Donna and I often make plans to go on short trips around the area just a day or two in advance.

Hi Glenn
sent you a PM
And the ALCAN? still has me confused?? :?
If you have not travelled or camped Hwy. 20 (just out your back door now) you should look into it)
And if you want a nice camping weekend, the Cascade loop is impressive and beautiful most any time of the year.
BUT, for some real beauty....if you come to the Okanagan Valley Lake Louise is only 4 hours away. And there is a very nice circle trip (loop) you can make on that trip too.
Lets go camping!

I just wanted to add my note to greet a fellow Washingtonian! I'm a newbie too, having purchased a TD in June 2013. Looking forward to my first outing for 2014, which I think is going to be the Gorge Gathering over Memorial Day. I just sent in my registration.

I received a warm welcome to the TOW family at the Fall Brigade last year, and am looking forward to seeing new friends again! Hope you will be one of them!

Hey Brian, I think ALCAN is one of the many names for the Alaska/Canadian hiway . Yes we look forward to stopping by and seeing your neck of the woods! Sounds awesome!

Paul, yes I have been by Salt Creek, it looks like a nice place! We spent Monday and Tuesday at Mora camp ground over on the coast. Give me a holler next time you are gonna be over on this side!

Hi Glenn
We moved up to Dawson Creek in 1958 when it became a "City".
Rode on the front of the First Great western train that came into town on the new line and witnessed the driving of the golden spike.
The Mile "0" post of the Alaska Hwy. was just part of the main street that I walked by on my way to school everyday.
Have not been back to the North in the past 54 years....but still remember the black flies and the mud.
Oh, and the cold winters!! :R
So, I assume (by the date) you will be stopping in on your way home via Hwy. 97.
Look forward to the Visit.
Please keep in touch.
