Is the new idea a secret?
Or are you going to share?
Give us a call if we get a weather window and come up on a mid week break for a fire and some wine before the snow flies!
Remember we are looking for an excuse to sleep out back in the new campground to get in night # 60 ??????
And you know you are always welcome here!! ;)

That goes for anyone that might like to sneak into the sunny Okanagan Valley for a last gasp campout.

it's not a secret, it's kind of like the Maxair cover I have over my roof vent - kind of looked different and out of place being hardly any other TD's are using them but now I've gotten use to it's looks and it's function and usefulness outweigh it's looks. I have bought 2 stainless 18 inch shower grab bars - one for each side and am planning on mounting them permanently level with the top of the sidedoor above the fenders. One of the problems I have all of the time, is where do I hang towels? I'm thinking these would provide a great place for towels, would work as a shelf along with a place to just tie things too. Would also help with having a good solid grab point for pushing and controlling the trailer when parking it by hand. The aft area of my trailer from about 18 inches behind my sidedoor all of the way to the rear of my trailer is double 3/4 inch thick plywood - 1-1/2 inch thick and if I use bolts instead of screws for more beefy-ness, the bolt nuts would be concealed inside my cabinets out of sight. The more I think of doing this, the more I think the "odd-ness" of the look will be out weighed by their usefulness, just have to also make sure I seal them well so as not to have any water damage later. I'm still just thinking........... Ted (may just have to play hooky and head your way one of these days - even if it's in the "puddle-jumper" Swift - may have to sleep on the shop couch which I have to say is a VERY comfortable sleep!!!!! lets see, your 275 miles from here and about 200 miles from the border crossing - at 45 mpg I have about a 420 mile range with about a gallon in reserve - I could make it there with just "our" $3.00 a gallon gas from this side of the line!!! am out of "loony's" after the last trip north) PS I could have fell into Canada a week or two ago when I was up driving along the border line between Sumas and Abbotsford heading for Birch Bay - it's weird driving along the "line" with about 10 ft of grass between your road and ours with NO fence between them, loss control on either side and you could fall into either country by accident. Take Care.

Hi Ted
All your plans sound doable.
The grab bars may come in handy for a lot of things, and creative a distinctive look.
As for the visit?........no problem! Might give us a chance to burn up some of that fire wood you stacked on your last visit to the farm.
Let's keep this discussion open, with enough notice that may some other "Mid weekers" from the NW might be able to join us!
Full moon on November 6th?????

Just got back from a great long weekend at Lake Chelan. Although we had a couple of showers the company was great and the scenery spectacular as always. Brian & Sandy and Ernie & Joy were perfect additions to our annual October camp out.

I have a couple of grab bars on the outside of my tear and they are great. Of course they add a funky look to her but I kind of like the tear looking unique. Image

Full Moon on the 6 of Nov sounds like it may be doable or should I say "hooky-able" (kind of "feeling" sick-ish already, a little early but you know, winter is coming!!) will let you know in a week or so (gas could be even cheaper!!! by then being the $$$ is still dropping!!!) Take Care

Thanks for the pictures Bill.
We were so busy having a good time with you guys, I forgot to take too many pictures.
Our time together just went buy too fast.
As we drove back up the lake in the Sunshine we both said it would have been nice to have stayed Monday.
How was the boat ride up the lake???
We will have to entice a few more NW TDers to join us in "Fall Camping" next year.
And once again Thanks for the invite. It was our pleasure to have met you and Susie, and see Ernie and Joy again.
we must not forget the kids Holly & Ruddy

You folks left a day too early. Monday was magnificent, so much so we decided to forego the boat trip and just enjoy the park. Looking forward to next year! Thanks for the great company. Had to add one more pic of our native friends:

Yes Ernie, even though it was only last weekend, it does bring back some fond memories! :wine:
It also opens our eyes to the benefits of "Fall Camping" when all of those noisy "Summer" campers have left the campgrounds to the deer and us old retired folks.
So, Who is camping Where this damp October weekend here in the NW?
And are there any NW'ers planning to head south this winter to join those in the SW who are entering their camping season??? :wine:

Okay, NW TDers!
I have just offer volunteered to take on the Position of Director for the Tear Jerkers PNW Chapter. :?
There has really not been any positive action happening on the PNW Chapter Forum since the early summer of 2011.
So does anyone have any "insight" or "history" as to why this is so?
If Yes? Please share!
Either here in open forum or by PM. :NC
Thanks
Brian

Brian, oh Grand Poo-Bah of the PNW Chapter, please be sure to tell me when the TJ's have events so I can add them to the TOWLine. Also if you want to use TOW for your newsletter, please let me know I can of course include all of your events and stories, saving you from having to deal with a newsletter
