Build stopped - till October - leg in plaster

Postby UK-Corlett » Sun Jul 05, 2015 11:19 am

On Friday I ruptured my Achilles tendon.

Apparently 12 weeks in plaster and 8 weeks physiotherapy.

My build was just getting past the per-build phase and there would be something substantial to see.

The only good news is the weather is fine.

I also have a Teardrop in stock so my summer hols, touring France, can still go ahead. So if you see an old man in a sun hat drinking wine in camp site in France don't ask how the build is going.

Sorry to hear of your injury :( I hope your recovery goes smoothly and you're back to building by fall. Take care.

Get well buddy. I've pulled my Achilles before and it hurts like a bitch.

Sorry to hear you've become injured. :(
Look at it this way: That gives you more time to dream of what you want to do and how you'll do it once you're mended! :relaxing:

Clive, sorry to hear about the tendon & the amount of time spent with added plaster ballast. At least plan "B" is going to work out well for the summer & you can still travel & sample some good wine. Use the time to do more brain-storming & thinking about the build! I'm sure it will give you some more ideas to ponder & new thoughts about how it all goes together.

The time you spend planning is more important than the time you spend building.........

Ouch! You poor thing,
Rest up and go through the build process in your head.
Might actualy be helpful to have a bit of a break in some ways.
I know my 3 week break has helped with some decisions

Thanks fr following the build.

Thanks for the support, 3 days with the plaster on and the reality of 12 weeks is hitting home.

I have some friends coming to mothball the project.

Perhaps I will do that computer model fluid dynamics drag program.
