why - because it sleeps two in comfort on the inside, the galley is at the back, and the WORLD IS MY LIVING ROOM.

Seriously, I couldn't stand cooking inside an RV.

Teardrop for was a good fit. Love the outside galley, who wants bacon grease where you are stepping, lightweight , just need a comfy dry place to sleep. Don't spend my camping trip inside a Mobile home otherwise I could have stayed home

Had a popup for a while. Only slept in it, was heavy to tow, a pain to setup, drafty, noisy, damp. The tear is a bed on wheels, dry, quiet, easy setup, and, don't even know it's back there!

Hmm, why a teardrop? Years of fulltiming in a motorhome, taught me how different folks behave in a campground. Some even objected and gave me the stink-eye when I foolishly entered "their space"if ventured between their picnic table and their 40 foot, triple-slide mansion. Teardrop camping opened my eyes and found my fellow campers inviting me to share a meal or a cup of coffee, even though they didn't even know my name. So, it's the teardrop life for me, from now on. Thank you very much!

My first camping trip (that I know of) was 64 years ago when I was 3 and I camped in tents married had kids camped in bigger tents until we got old enough that sleeping on the ground lost its luster. We were by the way still using the Coleman lantern and cook stove my parents had purchased in the 30's. My wife and I watched RV Crazy and saw the teardrop and thought that looks cool.
Ours is at the far end of elaborate because one of my goals was that prepping and cleanup after meals be as easy as it is at home, and it comes close.

well I wanted a way to go camping that I don't really have to think about. With a Tear, there is no 'Throw the tent in the car; throw the cooler in; throw some cloths in; throw the pots and pans; throw in the coleman stove; throw in the sleeping bag; pull everything back out and re-arrange it; make sure the gas in in the back so you can get to it; yadda-yadda-yadda'. Now I can hook up and go, stop at the grocery store on the way out, and when I get back, wash what needs washing and pack it up to go again.

Oh, also no having to fid a tent site that doesn't have that DAMN ROOT that pokes you RIGHT IN THE BACK so you can't sleep! ( I think every tent site has one...)
