I encountered the same thing at Walmart recently. I wanted a second canopy, and liked the cost of the Ozark Trail at WM. The website, localized for my store, said they were in stock. Knowing the unreliability of the WM website, I called the store, and they verified the "in stock" status. However, two hours later, as my wife and I arrived to look at the canopies, none of any kind were in stock. I asked the sporting/camping goods clerk why the discrepency, and found out that all had sold out three days before. And, as to "discontinued" items, I find that if I find a new item (usually a BBQ rub or sauce, also usually made locally) that I might like, I'd better buy two or more, because surely WM will not carry it anymore. Is it just me, or does WM do this to confound everbody?Cathy P. wrote:Amazing! Generally, when shopping and it is "out of stock" at Wal-Mart, I never find it there, not to mention that these days, anything desirable, is usually "discontinued".
