New users and a link to the forum...

Postby mikeschn » Tue Feb 08, 2005 7:27 pm

We've gotten a lot of new users here lately. I'm thrilled! I'd like to know how you found this forum...

And for you guys that have been here a while, would you do me a favor and include a link to the forum on your home page? I'm still running into too many people that can't find this place! :( But with your help, we can find more and more people!!! 8)

Thanks,

Mike...

I've received a few emails from people wondering about teardroptimes. Its too bad there isn't a redirect from buzzword to T&TTT to help out those folk.

Mike, do you have a banner button that we could place on our sites?

I actually was researching small campers in general, when I came across someones teardrop website after doing a search. I don't remember which one exactly, I bookmarked several. Then I found this great forum from one of those sites.

I just whipped this one together.

The file size is less than 12K so it won't bog down your sites. The animation stops after 4 rotations so it won't annoy your users. I borrowed the teardrop outline from the Northstar entry in the recent logo contest and modified it for the banner.

if you wish, I can make several of these banners for an integrated campaign. Some other ideas I have in mind are:

1. Camping, the way is USED to be. Camping the way it's SUPPOSED to be.

2. Don't want to drive the big rigs? Get a teardrop.

3. Build youself a cool retro camper. Tow it with ANY car.

4. Get off the ground. Get into a teardrop trailer.

What do you think?

Mike, I think one of the problems is that the search engines can't index the site because all the pages past the first page are ".php" format which can't be cached. I also noticed the first page doesn't have a META KEYWORD tag which would be helpful for Google et cetera.

Thanks to you guys and google I've learned a lot. From posting pics to my posts, getting a screen shot, and now I fogured out how to link that banner to this site. I guess I'll do anything to delay what I'm supposed to do. I've added the banner to the bottom of my webpage.
