Time Lapse Of Today

Postby davel » Sun Feb 20, 2005 6:42 pm

I'm playing with a few things and thought I would try to put this on the web. How does it look? Is it working?

I had to download an Office Update, but once I did that it worked fine... Good way to capture the activities... Now we've gotta get you to take the camera outside so we can see what you are doing when you are not in the garage! ;)

I'll pay more attention to that and move the camera when I'm working outside. Since it works I'll go back and fill in the other days. I've got it set up where it snaps a shot every minute.

Every minute... that's a lot of cam shots... I ended up taking a shot every 5 minutes when I did my album.

But what I found was that it really pushed me to make progress when I was on "candid camera"!

Anyways, your archive is off to a good start... show us more, and thanks for sharing!

Sadly it doesn't seem to work in Mozilla - to any other Firefox users, is this just me or is it the same for you?

See I couldn't do this camera thing. You would al think all I did was standing and staring, scratching my head with beer in hand. It would look like a really bad male ego driven Bub commercial

I think it might be on your end because I am using Mozilla too but I believe it is called Konqueror, but it is in Linspire. I have Firefox on the other PC but it has connectivity issues right now, when I get it back up I'll check it. You may need the mplayer plugin.

I couldn't get it to work in Mozilla Firefox either. I temporarily switched over to "the dark side" and ran it sucessfully in IE.

So did I. But I'm far too concerned about my reputation to say so in public.....

Obviously, I'm missing something here about IE vs. Mozilla.
(Please clue me in)

Mozilla's browser called Firefox is simply a superior browser to IE. It's arguably much more secure than IE - for instance people have had the ability to take over your computer just by going to a certain website that exploits flaws in IE. It's also less prone to spyware and adware getting installed without your knowledge. Firefox also has tabbed browsing, which you'll never give up once you start using it, and a built in popup blocker. But microsoft makes sure that some of their software only works in IE, like davel's slideshow. That seems to be the only time it's incompatible with something on the web.

You can download it here: www.mozilla.org
And addon projects, like weather, google search bar, etc can be found here: http://mozdev.org/

It didn't work for me in Mozilla either. I had to switch back Messysoft IE, which then told me to download an Office update... But then it worked just fine...
