RAIN!!! WOW, haven't seen any here for a while, now my weeds will grow, AAARGH. We need it but with temps in the 90's it is going to suck really bad when it quits. I can already feel the 180 percent humidity moving in!!

How do you think we feel in South Florida, it has literally poured rain and been overcast everyday since mid May. I was beggining to think of building an ARK of Biblical fame or pontoons on my teardrops. Today is the first day of sun here for more than 2 hours. Now it is like a blast furnance and the humidity, forget about it. It sure beats freezing though

Well, the car cruise-in was cancelled. First one that's been rained out since I started them about 9 months ago.

You can't compress water in the same way that you compress gas, but it can be compressed, I believe. It would have to be a miniscule amount though, right?

Umm, how did we get off the topic of avacadoes? Shouldn't we pull the thread back around to that?

I don't know if you can compress water or not. During winter our Minnesota lakes turn into what we call the hard water state. Makes it difficult to canoe.. I haven't even floated my canoe this year. We bought this new place in the country and I am mowing 6 acres. Mowing is now my life.

...we have been having a mini-drought here(14"short for year) so its been just double 90's(90+temps 90+humidity) and it has sure raised hell with my avocado crop. You can't even get'em to mush up, they just turn to green powder(both threads in one post...HA)

I have solved the mowing problem at my house. I dug up all the grass and replanted with avacados. They are usually pretty hard when we pick them so I got a new Ginsu brand 12" mitre saw at Home Depot to slice them. They go great on a salad. Boy, is it ever hot here.
Are we there yet?
