Smoking a few joints doesn't count, Tom, nor trying to feel up your 13-year-old classmate Sally Latimer

Are you talking about TomS or Michae Jackson here or what?

Holy Moley! How did I wind up getting compared to Jacko of all people?

I'd never stir up trouble by pointing out that the Red Sox are in first-place in the AL East while the Skankees's lackluster performance have them sitting 6 1/2 games back in third place. And I'd never gleefully recall the headline last fall in one of the New York papers that read "THE CHOKES ON US" after the Skanks blew a three-game lead in the ALCS. No sir, I'd never do a thing like that.

And, just to show my good will toward Ira and his beloved Yankees, I'm sending him a special memory of Yankee Stadium by private E-mail.

Ira's itching to hear my confession so he can absolve me. Ira, are you sure you're not Catholic? Yes, I did in fact do something illegal once. I tore one of those tags off a matress. You know; The ones that say "Do not remove under penalty of law"

OK, so now we're really well off topic....

On one side of the Atlantic is Merka and it is full of Merkans. On the other side is Yurp and it is full of Yurpeens. These names became common with the computer guys and I enjoy using them.

And, for the grown-ups, I also like that the computer guys didn't know that the similar-sounding word Merkin is something completely different - a ladies' wig for 'down below' - apparently a couple of hundred years ago it was common hygiene/health practice to remove all hair there and the wig covered up the absence. Did you want to know that? :shhh:

Angib,

Did you want to know that?
No, not really, but I do want to know how YOU KNOW

Don't "should" on yourself, there are plenty of others who will "should" on you for no reason. Accept what you did and move on. Life is too short.

Is that something I needed to know? :rofl2:
Chris :D

The tension between what is good enough and what is beyond that creates the space for character to become our work.

Have we all forgotten about President Merkin Muffley? One of Kubrick's better linguistic twists to get through the censors.......

Hey, I DID heard of that Merkan thing--on Howard Stern:

Seems that they still sell these things, because actresses that appear nude in films don't want to show the real thing.

Well, there go all of my fantasies...

I only have 3 words in response to this:

Buckner and Dent.

Does it STILL hurt as much as it hurt way back then???
