LOL...ya know you might laugh, but I thought it would be cool to have someone do a turtle shell paint job on a teardrop.

I just think it would end up to expensive to get it done well. :?

Nice picture though......

I actually like the shape. Perhaps a popup in the front?
Maybe it could be a lady bug or a beetle too for bug lovers. :D

Hey Mike,

You are having too much fun with that shape. How about this? The side of the trailer is painted to resemble one half of a round pizza. It is sliced in a criss-cross pattern so that the cuts line up with the windows and doors. The edge of the wheel well looks as though someone took a big bite and left tooth marks. The little angular projection could have a pattern like a classic red checked napkin. YUM!

Then it will be just right for our friend who likes to make pizzas in his teardrop oven.

p.s. Heavy on the pepperoni, please.
The tiny trailer in the avatar is designed to carry our recumbents and sometimes sleep in. We LOVE having a kitchen in the woods and a place for most of our gear.

Another thing that makes that design so good is that getting rings rolled in quantity is relatively inexpensive. You could get say 10ea. aluminum rings out of 1" square tubing, 8' OD (or whatever dia you wanted), cut them in half, weld or bolt them to the trailer frame, and your framework is done. You could get the angle for the edges rolled at the same time.

I guess you could use the same process to make a fiberglass mold.
