another mural

Postby beverlyt » Tue Sep 21, 2004 5:55 pm

Had another mural done on the side today. Tomorrow hope to have one more on the front and other side. I'm pretty much giving the artist free hand...just giving him an idea of what I want.

That's pretty. Your artist did a good job. I'm afraid we're gonna lose you in the woods though...

Wow, thats nice. If I remember correctly isn't your teardrop sides TPO. How does the paint stick to it, pretty good, like any other material or is there any special prep. I have never seen TPO just curious

Woody,
Well, the guy tells me it will stick just fine.. time will tell.

It is a water-based paint of some sort and he applies a "clear coat" over the top when done.

I had actually planned on the mural being much smaller...but he wanted to go bigger...

The bluebird I had planned would have been smaller..but again..he thought he should bring it up closer to the front of the picture and make it larger. Decided to let him do what he wanted to.

It's usually always best to let an artist work the way they want to. You guys truly have a one-of-a-kind personalized work of art for a trailer. How wonderful!

I was just curious. I had never seen or worked with TPO before. I hope it lasts along time, because, he did a nice job!

Actually, Bev's TD is covered with PVC... it's a roofing product, it must have some UV protectors in it...

Of course she could always keep it in the garage, right Bob?
