Polypropolene (Plastic) Hinges

After 6 months of daily use and approximately 9000 miles, the hinge has failed. The failure exhibited itself as cracking, and occurred suddenly. I purchased it from Guden.
I strongly advise not using this product.
The manufacturer stated that the product had been (simulated)tested to a few million cycles.

If you used it on a door, it is probably the tearing that broke it. If the door, did it start at the top? Most hinges of this type are used on lids, where the load is dispersed evenly.... on a door, the tearing action will kill it much faster.

the hinge was used on the door. The tearing occurred at scattered locations, and did not appear to begin at the top. The tears showed up all of a sudden.
