Hatch clips - Mike

Postby beverlyt » Fri Apr 23, 2004 5:26 am

Mike,
Problems, problems. We are going to need those clip thingies that you have on either side of your hatch to secure it down. Where did you get them and what are they called?

2nd. The weatherstripping we bought to go around the doors won't fit. Doors won't close with it on. Any ideas?

Yes, the hatch thingies, I think I bought them at McMaster Carr in Ohio. Let me search their online catalog today to see if I can find it.

As for the weather stripping, there is a real nice v shaped weather stripping at home depot. I'll take a picture of a piece I have tonight, okay?

Okay here it is...

http://www.mcmaster.com/

Enclosed Adjustable Draw Latch 304 SS, Padlockable, 1-7/16"-2-5/16" Reach, 5-1/4" L

I also went to home depot and bought some 1" x 1/8" thick aluminum and bent it over in the vice to form the strap, as you can see in my picture here...

Thanks Mike for the pic. Home Depot just opened in town this week! How about a pic of that miracle weather stripping too!
Thanks!
