do you heat it up in the bag by boiling it, are they dried or can you open the bag and heat it in a pan?

3 down, one more Hurricane on the way here to go! Oh Boy
No they are not good for back packing. They are not dehydrated.
They are good for teardroppers, because we have stoves and propane. We just need to make some rice, empty the contents of the pouch into a pot and heat it up, and serve over rice.
What I like about these, is they have meat in them... If you are out of power for a while, like FL must have been, and you're not able to get fresh meat, what you gonna eat? Hormel Chili? Then what? Campbell's chunky soups? What else is out there in our regular supermarkets that we can use up on a regular basis? I saw a couple La Choy Chinese meals in a can... anyone know of anything else?

Three weeks.
That's how long Florida Power & Light Co. customers could be without power after Hurricane Jeanne hits the state this weekend, utility officials are warning.
